God Promises

The Bible is packed full of God’s promises to His people. He takes care of His children, and by that He means you. He has dreams and plans for you:

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

2 Peter 1:3–4

His promises are a result of His grace, not our good works. We cannot “earn” God’s promises or what He has chosen for us. “Everything we need for a godly life” includes both big and little things. Promises do not have to be grand in scale, only grand in purpose. They will tune your heart toward that which glorifies God, not your own plan. And He will always, always fulfill His promises.

If the words you hear fill you with hope, you can be sure that they come from God.
